Happy Birthday G.W. Miller

Happy Birthday to my grandfather, George Washington Miller. He worked as a Pennsylvania lumberjack, dairy farmer, road builder, and skilled carpenter. Tough men called him "boss." I once asked my Dad what he learned from his father, and without one second of hesitation, he said, "WORK."

When I was seven years old, I observed my Dad and Grandfather, quietly talking while seated at the kitchen table. At the end of their conversation, Grandfather silently bowed his head, whispered a prayer, and surrendered his life to Jesus. It was an unforgettable moment that resulted in a powerful transformation. Total surrender always does.

I miss both of these men here,
but will see them again there. The best is yet to come.
